Montreal & McAllen still leading the way!

Welcome New Owner Doug Grahm Sr.

Hi Bobb and fellow FHLers

Glad to be on board. Not sure I can live up to all of Bobb's hype but I will definitely try. For those of you I know, glad to jump into the fray with you again. For those guys I have not had the pleasure of dealing with previously, I'll be happy to get to know you.

Although the team is starting with a really good base, its a bit top heavy at C and can use some help at D. I will probably play the team as is for a bit to see how it works before making changes however I would like to reshape the team some at some point in the near future.

In any case, it is highly unlikely I will move Mcdavid, Eichel, or Draisaitl unless the offer is too good to pass up.

Quick background. I am a South Florida native and have followed hockey since the early 70s. I am a Panther and Penguin fan, Pens back to the days of Apps, Pronovost, and Larouche. I used to travel to Pittsburgh during the early Lemieux days and saw a few of his memorable games. I also like baseball, following the Marlins, Cubs, and Indians. One of my bucket list items is to go to every MLB city and catch a game and I am at 27 stadiums so far.

Not too sure about Doug Jr joining anytime soon. He has a new job and a seven month old so for now he is extremely busy. Maybe if things settle down a bit later on he might consider it.

Thanks again.

Doug

New Owner Relocates Nordiques to Omemee!

OMO

Omemee is a community within the city of Kawartha LakesOntarioCanada, formerly known as Victoria County. Located onHighway 7, which is the Trans-Canada Highway, Omemee is one of the major communities in the Kawartha Lakes, as the proclaimed "city" is vastly rural and has but one major population centre. Omemee was the early childhood home of musicianNeil Young, and of his father, author and sportswriter Scott Young.

The community had a population of 1,247 in the Canada 2011 Census.[1] It is located between the city of Peterborough and the community of Lindsay. Lindsay is the largest population centre in the city of Kawartha Lakes, and serves as the administrative centre as it did with Victoria County.
